A natural art piece created with the spirit of Christmas on my heart…palm frond pieces, a starfish, the perfect Mary and Joseph oyster union, and baby Jesus in the manger oyster nestled in Spanish moss.
Introducing Redfish Cutout #1! This is my first art project in my new studio. This fish is cut out of wood and will look fantastic on any wall in Port O’Connor. A few will be available at the next POC Farmer’s Market on Saturday, November 14th. Other fish species are already in the works. Place your orders for Christmas now!
POC Farmer’s Market is currently being held the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00 am – 12 pm in Port O’Connor. Their market motto is Homegrown or Homemade. The location may vary, so please check the POC Farmer’s Market Facebook page for updates. I plan to be at every market with a variety of art available. Hope to see ya’ there!
Redfish Mug Collection
The Redfish Mug Collection will be available once again starting in November 2020, as these make a great gift for the holidays. In addition to redfish, I have also produced mugs featuring my “Trout on Black” and “Redfish on Black”, as well as “Roseate Spoonbill Portrait, Calm Waters” and “Sunset Pelican” that seem to please the bird lovers. Please contact me for order requests.
Fishing Partner Onesies
Back by popular demand, my onesies with my original art are back in production. My best sellers are: “Grandpa’s/Daddy’s Fishin’ Partner”, “Born to Fish”, and “Who You Callin’ Shrimp?!” These can be customized upon request. Recently, at the POC Farmer’s Market, I met a lady that said she remembered purchasing onesies at Clark’s Gift Shop when her children were babies, at least 15 years ago! I actually started these as gifts by painting on the actual fabric. Care instructions: Machine wash cold, inside out. No chlorine bleach. Tumble dry low. Happy Fishing! Please contact me for order requests
New commission by a generous guy for a friend that needed some local art to adorn her “Casa de Flamenco”!
This will be available as a $65 reproduction print soon!
First National Bank, located at 1101 Hwy 35 South in Port Lavaca, Texas, is hosting an art exhibit in the main lobby for the Port Lavaca Art Guild. This will be my first invitation to be a part of an art exhibit, so I am pretty excited! The exhibit will be available to view September 9th – the 27th.
Perfect Pearl Oyster
This “Perfect Pearl Oyster” was lovingly created in memory a dear one lost too early. Life is not perfect…but love is. Soothing turquoise, yellow & purple hues bring comfort and peace to heart. ~Dawn Ragusin
The “Turquoise Ombre Redfish” was created just for fun. I held onto this piece for about a year before donating it. A beautiful young lady in our community courageously battling her own cancer, yet always serving and caring for others. Port O’Connor came together to show love & support for her journey…I was grateful I had this to give for this crucial benefit. ~Dawn Ragusin
P.S. This redfish is also a part of my “Redfish Mug Collection”, available at Salt Blossom Floral & Gift Shop located at 215 W. Adams St. and Port O’Connor Rod & Gun, located at 82 N. Byers- both in Port O’Connor, Texas.
